Recently to fuel the feud in the iPhone and Samsung’s discourse, Phonebuff conducted a speed test, and iPhone 12 Pro outperformed Samsung Note 20 Ultra. This test was between the A14 chip and 6 GB RAM in iPhone vs Snapdragon 856 chip and 12 GB RAM in Samsung.

The speed test efficiency was checked based on how fast a sequence of apps could be opened in each of these smartphones. The smartphones had to open an identical lineup of apps that contained – Facebook, the Camera app, Adobe Rush, Video games, Microsoft applications, and some others.

In this performance test, the iPhone 12 Pro was ahead of its Samsung counterpart, even rendering a video in Adobe rush and launching several games before it. This was the first lap of the race, in which the iPhone won by completing it in 1 minute 44 seconds. Samsung Note 20 took 1 minute and 55 seconds to complete the same task.

There was also the second round of competition to even out the wrinkles fairly. This second test was to check how efficiently these smartphones work while apps are running in the background. For this test also the iPhone took home the crown by finishing in 42 seconds whereas Samsung took 46 seconds.

Thus after winning both the rounds of the competition, the undoubted champion turned out to be the iPhone 12 Pro. It should be noted that this is the first time in 20 months that the ultimate winner is a phone from Apple. Earlier a speed test conducted by Phonebuff had resulted in Samsung Note 20 Ultra winning the pace check test.
